Google bends (slightly) to privacy concerns

The search engine behemoth has bowed to complaints from privacy advocates and pressure from the European Union in announcing that it will trim the time it keeps your personal search info. According to Google, it plans to keep individual search histories for 18 months, instead of 24. Google says it doesn’t share this data outside the company. But you can rest assured that someone at Google knows about your porn preferences (and how many times you’ve Googled your ex in the last few months).
