When marinating meat, make sure to place the container in the refrigerator. Always use glass pans rather than metal pans to marinate.
Use a meat thermometer to determine when meat is done. Beef cooked to medium should reach 160˚F and pork cooked to medium should reach ‘˚F.
Apply BBQ sauces containing tomato or sugar to meat on the grill shortly before it is done since these ingredients tend to burn if left on the grill too long.
Soak vegetables in water before placing them over a medium heat grill to prevent them from drying out.
Grill corn by pulling back the husks and removing the silk. Replace the husks, tie the ends together and soak in water for 1-3 hours before grilling.
After you grill, sprinkle salt onto any leftover grease. Once it’s dry, the grease will come off easily with a brush.
