Pine Tree Camp in Rome, ME is making the treehouse experience a reality for its lucky campers. Thanks to the Pine Tree Society and Forever Young Treehouses of Burlington, VT, there will be a fully-accessible, full-fledged tree home at the camp beginning on June 17.
The treehouse design encompasses 1,000 square feet of land and features about 400 square feet of interior space. A winding ramp leads up to the structure making it completely accessible for everyone. Construction took about eight weeks and involved hundreds of volunteers from all corners of Maine.
Forever Young Treehouses has a mission to build an accessible treehouse in every state.
