Total kitchen remodels can be costly, time consuming and can add stress. But there are easy ways to update your kitchen without the intrusiveness of a complete remodel — or the cost.

Some questions to ask are ...
1. Do you like the layout of your kitchen?
2. Are your cabinet boxes in good shape?

If you answered yes to both questions, you have alternatives. Such as ...

1. COUNTERTOPS: Maybe it’s time to update to something more upscale. Consider granite, quartz and soapstone, just to name a few. You can change the look and feel of your kitchen just by replacing your countertop.

2. RE-DOOR: If you have old laminate doors, consider just changing the doors. Replace white laminate with new rigid thermal foil doors. RTF is the new laminate and these doors wear much better. If you have laminate doors placed on oak cabinet boxes, consider putting on oak doors that match your cabinet boxes. This option can immediately make your kitchen look like new.

3. CABINET REFACING: You can change oak cabinets to maple cabinets in less than a week. Cabinet refacing enables you to revitalize your kitchen with new doors, drawer fronts and matching veneer, while keeping your existing cabinet boxes. With this option you can even add cabinets, add an island and much more.

With each option listed above you will have full use of your kitchen every evening. Now there is a reason to move forward with updating that kitchen.
