Considered the biggest technology event of the year, the CES is where all of the major companies break out all of their cool gadgets for the year to come. It’s a gadget geek’s dream.
When you go to the CES, you can expect to see trade booths from wireless companies, home audio and video, software, gaming, digital imaging and more.
One of the most exciting exhibits there had to be the Blu-ray booth. With full scale models of the Simpsons, the Silver Surfer and Jack Sparrow, this booth seemed to draw the most attention.
While critics were calling this year’s show a “transitional year” without a lot of breakthrough products, I discovered some pretty cool things from checking out the show online, like Sony’s new OLED televisions. These TVs are going to make you want to throw out that fancy LCD TV you just bought. The picture almost looks better than real life itself.
Panasonic revealed a –-inch plasma at the show. This monster set is not commercially available and weighs 1,500 pounds. Try hanging that on your wall!
Video game creators also played a big role at the event. They were there announcing the up and coming video games and letting a lucky select few check them out before anyone else.
The CES is a four-day show held yearly that is not open to the public. All of the coolest grown up toys are there and hopefully one day I’ll be there too.
Despite what the critics said about this year’s CES, there will be exciting developments in technology coming to you soon — so hold on to your hats.
