Greater Portland Art Walks Guide

Occurring every First Friday from 5-8 pm, the art walk is year-long with an always eclectic mix of art. The walk is sponsored by PACA and Portland's Downtown District with the mission to "open the doors of Portland's visual arts community by joining together and introducing a wider audience to the unique vitality of the artists and venues of Portland. Promoting interest with non-exclusivity and easy access, thereby strengthening the arts and community through diversity and celebration." Occurring every first Friday throughout the summer (June-Aug), visit downtown Belfast for live music, entertainment and art from 5-8 pm. Participating art galleries open their doors to art enthusiasts, featuring artwork by some of the finest artists from Midcoast Maine and beyond. You'll find sculpture, photography, and painting and meet the artists as well.

Brunswick's Second Friday Art walk occurs downtown in Brunswick with artist receptions and performances from 5-8 pm. Discover and support local performers, artists, craftspeople and businesses. The Second Saturday Art Stroll is a monthly event that will showcase the thriving arts community and diverse cultural businesses along the Cottage to Shore Road area. A short stroll from South Portland's Meeting House Hill to Cape Elizabeth's Engine One Firehouse allows you to experience a unique kaleidoscope of artistic and culinary venues. These local establishments will hold opening receptions, tours, and events to showcase Cape Elizabeth, South Portland, and local artists every second Saturday of the month. Sponsored by Five Rivers Arts Alliance, the Bath Art Walk occurs every third Friday from 5-8 pm in the downtown area. Participants include downtown restaurants, galleries, inns and studios. Westbrook's Fourth Friday Art Walk is from 5-8 pm in the downtown area, along with a dozen artist's studios in the Dana Warp Mill at 90 Bridge St. Artists will open their studios to show their work to highlight the new cultural and artistic energy in Westbrook.
